Hepatitis B Vaccination

Hepatitis B (Learn more about Hepatitis B and the vaccine) The CDC recommends that all unvaccinated people received the Hepatitis B vaccine when traveling to areas with an intermediate or high prevalence of chronic hepatitis B. Hepatitis B can cause a range of symptoms, from mild illness to a serious long-term infection that can sometimes lead to chronic liver disease and liver cancer. Because this injectable vaccine is administered in a three-dose series, it should be started at least 6 months before traveling. Pharmaca does offer Twinrix, a combination vaccine for both Hepatitis A and B.
